Chris Lands Wild Card For World Long Track Championship 2017
2017 will see Chris make his long awaited debut in the World Long Track Championship with the news that he has been awarded one of the wild card entries. Chris and his late father (Cedric) both started on the Grass, and dad (Cedric) always dreamt of Chris having a go at the Long Track Championship. Chris has wanted to race in this competition for a long time, more so the past two years but with date clashes with his Speedway Grand Prix meetings and other commitments meant that this was not possible. 2017 has opened up this opportunity and he is looking forward to embracing this new exciting challenge.
Chris comments, "This is a dream come true for me especially for my dads memory, and to be able to race wearing my dads number means the world to me. I got back on the grass last year and loved every minute of it and wanted to branch out into the Long Track. We put my name forward for a wild card entry for the 2017 competition and with a bit of hard work from my management team we have achieved the spot. I now want to make the most of it and I am already planning for it. We did have some interest from possible sponsors to back me in the World Long Track Championships so hopefully I will be able to welcome some new partners for 2017. Anyone who may be interested in becoming an official sponsor please contact email@example.com to discuss the opportunities available. I am so pleased at this news and I really am looking forward to the 2017 season with 2 new challenges ahead so far with Rye House and the World Long Track Championship."
