Chris Bomber Harris will again line-up in the prestigious Peter Craven Memorial meeting at Belle Bue next Monday 16th March after receiving a late call-up to replace Charles Wright
Bomber who previously topped the rostrum back in 2010 is only too happy to race in memory of a British speedway legend
“It’s a meeting I have always enjoyed taking part in, and whilst disappointed I wasn’t originally in the 16, when they called I ensured I was available to take part. Peter Craven is down in history as one of our sports greats, “ said Bomber
“I remember the pride I felt in winning the event at the old Belle Bue stadium when I managed to beat Steady and Screeny in a run-off and of course I would love to repeat it on Monday, but I never know what sort of meeting I am going to have there!” Joked Harris
”It will be a great early season test for me, and with it being the day after Nicolai’s testimonial it will get be back in the swing of things. I’m looking forward to 2026 getting underway” commented Chris
